We are aware of the problems associated with the excavation and sale of conflict minerals. The issues are related to the financing of armed groups through the trading of minerals from conflict areas and human rights abuses related to the minerals industry. Increasing attention is being paid to the matter since the publication of regulations in the U.S. and similar EU legislation.
OEM’s Code of Conduct is based on the ten basic principles of the UN Global Compact initiative. The Code of Conduct concerns human rights, the environment, labor rights and anti-corruption issues. OEM therefore has the responsibility not to process and use products that contain conflict minerals. Read our Code of Conduct here.
OEM works with manufacturers across different product areas and assumes that the products supplied by them do not contain conflict minerals. OEM also has reason to assume that they provide sufficient information in confirmation of the matter.
